COVID-19: Nigeria Civil Defence says it spent N48 Million on hand sanitizer

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) say it has spent the sum of N48 million for the purchase of hand sanitizer.

An action the NSCDC said was to prevent and contain the spread of coronavirus among its personnel and Nigeria.

The NSCDC, who categorized the hand sanitizer under the COVID-19 emergency procurement, says it is a 500ml Bottle, 10000 Millilitre Per Kilogram.

The procurement contract was awarded to a local company, Gracious Ruby Concept Nigeria Limited.

The Public and Private Development Center (PPDC) published the contract sum on its Budeshi website

MAWA Foundation could not immediately ascertain how the procurement process was carried out leading to the selection of Gracious Ruby Concept Nigeria Limited, a company that got the contract award.
