Water Resources Ministry, Kebbi Senator build five classrooms block for N50 Million

Mr. Bala Ibn Na’allah, a Nigerian Senator from Kebbi state in collaboration with Soko Rima River Basin Development Authority say construction of five classrooms block cost N50 million.

Under the deal, Na’allah nominated the construction of classrooms and headmasters office as his constituency project for the sum of N50 million.

Tracka senior official, in a phone conversation, confirmed to MAWA Foundation their team who visited the project saw only five blocks of classrooms completed.

The primary school is located at Dirin Daji community in Kebbi State, while the project was awarded and executed by Amazone Links Concept Limited and supervised by Ministry of Water Resources.

A quantity surveyor and a civil engineer in a phone conversation told MAWA Foundation that N50 million is too huge amount to be used for five blocks of classrooms.

Checks by MAWA in an open market shows that amount is outrageous.

Mrs.  Okpanachi joy, who owns and runs a private school at Lugbe a satellite town of Abuja told MAWA, that amount is unbelievable.

“Give me that amount I will build three schools and employ teachers she told this MAWA. Why are our leaders robbing us this way, she added.

MAWA Foundation could not immediately reach out to the lawmaker and Water Resources Ministry for a response.
