Renovation work and the supply of equipment to Biology, Chemistry and Physics laboratory to GGSS school remains abandoned despite the sum of N80 million allocated to the project in the 2020 project.
The sum was allocated under the Zonal Intervention Project for the rehabilitation of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS) Augie in Kebbi North Senatorial District.
Worse still, despite the fund allocation, a visit to the school by Tracka shows the school laboratory remains abandoned despite the fund allocation.
Nigeria has the culture of abandoning projects, and, often government officials who are supposed to ensure project execution connive with contractors and divert monies meant for projects.
This is even as Kebbi state has dilapidated schools in many communities while the quality of education in the state remains very low and out of school children high in number.
MAWA Foundation could not immediately reach out to the school authority for a response.
