Tafazuwa community residents in Kafin-Madaki Local Government Area of Bauchi State no longer have access to healthcare delivery because the only Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in their area has become deplorable and cannot deliver service.
Follow the money, a public accountability organization that first exposed the community hospital, disclosed it has only three beds, two staff, and no equipment to make it functions effectively.
Worse still, the entire community relies upon the deplorable hospital for their health care delivery.
A visit to the community shows that the PHC is in near collapse.
Mr. Abdul Hassan, a health worker who spoke to MAWA described the condition of health care in Bauchi as deplorable.
This is even as Hassan accused the Bauchi state government of mismanaging monies meant for community health care delivery.
