The Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has undertaken a poorly constructed road in the Katsina community at the cost of N300 million
The Unguwar Iliya – Burdugau – Kwantakwaram -Tsiga road in Kafur and Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina state constructed by FERMA, was awarded to A.I.C. Allied Technical and Construction Company Limited.
The Federal Government had last year allocated the sum of N300 million to the project.
Tracka, a public accountability organization that visited the construction, has since shown pictures of the poorly constructed road.
Worse still, a search by MAWA FOUNDATION shows that the contractor, A.I.C. Allied Technical and Construction Company Limited could not be found on Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) website database.
Also, online searches show A.I.C. Allied Technical and Construction Company Limited has no traceable address.
An indication that suggests, FERMA may have awarded the N300 million road construction to a none existing company.
MAWA could not immediately reach out to FERMA for a response.
