Four years after, Bayelsa community hospital donated by EU abandoned

A community health centre donated by the European Union (EU) to Onopa community in Bayelsa state in 2017 has been abandoned.

This is even as the community residents go through hell in accessing healthcare as that is the only hospital in the area.

Often, the community residents rely on patent medicine dealers to access medication, and, this is even as Nigerian health professionals regularly warn on the implications of relying on patent medicine dealers.

Worse still, the community hospital donated by EU has remained abandoned.

Tracka, a public accountability organization who exposed the abandoned hospital, disposed the community shares same fence with the state government house.
