12 years after, Port Harcourt Aba express road remains abandoned

The Port Harcourt Aba express road has remained abandoned 12 years after it was awarded under the administration of Mr. Musa Ya’adua the late Nigerian President.

The road links Port Harcourt-Aba express road to Obehie-Azumini-Ukanafun in Abia and the Akwa Ibom States respectively.

The road awarded as post amnesty project in 2009 under the late Ya’adua was meant to dualize the road from Obehie Asa Abia State to Ukanafun in Akwa Ibom state.

Worse still despite 12 years after the road was awarded; it continues to remain in the worse deplorable condition with Ozar Asa in Ukwawest to Akwete Rubber Research Institute in Ukwaeast as the worse portion while commuters who suffer on the road are calling on the government to help fix it.
