Children in Dokuma community of Bwari Area Council, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory in what affirms the country’s education neglect are learning sitting on a bare floor.
A visit to the community primary school, shows a despicable environment, kids are allowed to learn.
Moving round the school, one sees deplorable classrooms with leaking roofs and fallen windows
Mr. Usman Mohammed, a community champion that first exposed the despicable nature of the school, says there are no chairs in the classrooms.
It is unclear how the FCTA deploys monies meant for education and Dokuma community primary school is this despicable.
Miss Esen, a teacher in Bwari Area Council who spoke to MAWA FOUNDATION, says there are a huge number of deplorable schools littered all over rural communities in the Area Council.
“As a teacher, I tell you in all sincerity, public schools in many rural communities in Abuja are terrible, this must not be allowed to continue” Esen said
MAWA FOUNDATION could not immediately reach out to FCTA for an official response.
