Mr. Muhammadu Adamu, the Nigerian Inspector General of Police has detained a man for exposing corruption, Brekete live radio programme has revealed.
Mr. Ahmed Isah, the president Brekete family who disclosed the arrest said the man has been in detention for over 10 days with the police IG working with the Zamfara state governor to disgrace or possibly kill the man.
The IG has concluded arrangement to take the man from Abuja detention cell to Zamfara by road, an action Isah said will likely lead to the man’s death as a result the illness he is suffering.
This is even as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has given order asking the police IG to release him in detention, Ahmed Isah said.
The man is accused to have exposed some kids who were in detention in the police custody, who were alleged to have been kept there as a result of corruption in the police.
Attempts made to speak with Mr. Frank MBA, the police spokesperson were unsuccessful as calls made to his telephone did not connect.
