Despite multi billion capital allocation, Nasarawa state pupils sit on bare floor

Children of Bauna at Ashige community in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasawa state have continued to learn under a terrible condition despite the multi billion capital allocation.

The state Governors had allocated a huge sum of money for capital projects which they say focuses mainly on education and health.

For instance Mr. Tanko Amakura, the former governor during his tenure, allocated the sum of N31 billion to capital expenditure.

Despite the multi billion allocation, over 70 pupils in the Bauna Local Government Education Authority – LGEA sit and learn on a bare floor.

Worse still, the allocation is yet to reflect in the lives of poor children using the government public school.

Mr. Akolo Eggon, a community resident, said apart from the terrible condition of the school, it has only two classroom blocks for over 70 pupils.

MAWA Foundation could not immediately reach out to  Nasarwa state government for a response.
