Residents of Dutse Alhaji in Abuja the Nigeria capital city are lamenting over the terrible nature of the road leading to their houses.
Located at Power Line Area and 15 kilometres away from the city centre, residents are lamenting the predicament they go through trying to access their houses.
Speaking to our MAWA FOUNDATION Mr. Sola Joseph who said he works in one of the new generation banks at Wuse II, in the city centre, said he finds it very difficult accessing his house located besides Catholic Church in zone 6.
He has since appealed to Bwari Area Council Chairman to help fix the road to ease their suffering.
Another resident, Mr. Christian Ezendu, who lives in the zone 4 area, told MAWA he spends a reasonable amount of money fixing his car because of the bad road.
“My car shock absorbers spoil every two weeks, this road is so terrible,” he told our reporter.
Miss Ezine Joy who said she moved into the area new, told MAWA that the road is very terrible and has destroyed her new Honda car.
Asked if she has regret living in the area, she said apart from the bad road, there are no issues with the place, but said the bad road is a terrible experience she does not wish to continue.
She has since said she will be packing out of the place because of the road since she cannot cope.
Dutse is not the only town in Abuja that has terrible road network.
Checks in Abuja shows Lugbe, Bwari Mpape, Kuje and other parts of the capital city have lots of terrible road network while residents continue to appeal on the government to help fix the roads.
Worse still, the Federal Capital Territory Administration, receives a huge amount of budgetary allocation annually, an amount that has not been able to translate into developing the Abuja capital city.
